In Partnership with The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation’s Archive of American Television (ATAS), tvland.com will feature fascinating new interviews every month, in which some of the biggest names in Hollywood will discuss everything from parenthood to where they were when man first walked on the moon.

Since it was founded ten years ago, ATAS has produced over 500 interviews with the industry’s pioneers and legends; individuals who have made a lasting impact in the fields of broadcasting, cable and telecommunications. These are the stories behind television from its origins through today. World events, technological innovations, pop culture origins and artistic insights are just some of the topics discussed in these eyewitness accounts.

The interview subjects include those responsible for some of television’s firsts such as: Ray Forrest, television’s first announcer, and Diahann Carroll, the first African-American female series lead.Other notable interviewees are those who have left their mark on the small screen including: Carroll O’Connor who portrayed the one of a kind Archie Bunker, Sherwood Schwartz the creator of The Brady Bunch, William Shatner, Barbara Walters, Walter Cronkite, and many more.
