(Angie Talbott ), Another World, and Somerset. Wedgeworth
brought sultry Lana Shields to life on Three's Company
from 1979-1980. Other small screen sitcom roles followed,
including Bootsie Weschester on Flithy Rich (1982)
and a recurring role on the acclaimed Evening Shade
(1990-1994), where she tapped into her southern roots playing
Merleen Eldridge. Wedgeworth's big screen debut was in Bang
the Drum Slowly (1973), starring Robert De Niro. Other
film appearances include Sweet Dreams (1985), Miss
Firecracker, and Steel Magnolias (1989). Wedgeworth
was married to actor Rip Torn, and they have a daughter together.
She also has a son from her second marriage to Ernie Martin. |
