Born in Oklahoma and raised in Texas, Lauren Lane honed her acting skills at San Franciscos American Conservatory Theatre. With extensive stage work at Berkeley Repertory Theater, The Mark Taper Forum, Actors Theater of Louisville, and The Dallas Theater Center, she was a longtime member of Tim Robbins Los Angeles theatre company The Actors Gang. Her credits include "Uncle Vanya," "Burn This," "The Imaginary Invalid," "Boys Life" and "No End of Blame."

, she transitioned back into theater as well as teaching. An MFA from the American Conservatory Theatre, she has taught at The University of Texas and Texas State University.
C.C. Babcock is Maxwell Sheffields business partner, and she has somewhat of a crush on him. Niles and C.C. have a hate-hate relationship.
