A Minneapolis native, Benjamin Salisbury discovered his passion for acting and dancing at nine years old when he saw community theater. He auditioned for the next show, a musical version of "Sleeping Beauty," where he emerged as a triple threat. He then made his professional debut in industrial films and commercials. As a young dancer, he performed "The Nutcracker" with both the Cincinnati Ballet Company and The Joffrey Ballet.Before landing his role in
The Nanny, Salisbury appeared in the films
Captain Ron,
Iron Will and
D3: The Mighty Ducks, and voiced the Tin Boy in numerous
Oz films made for video. He won a Young Artist Award for his role in the Gerald McRaney TV movie
Promised Land, as well as
The Nanny. He also scored numerous other Young Artist and YoungStar Awards for the role.Having appeared in a 2006 Dominos commercial, Salisbury currently works with the Los Angeles Kings hockey team. Now married, he graduated magna cum laude from American University with a degree in broadcast journalism.
