Laura Prepon was born in 1980 and grew up in Watchung, New Jersey. That 70s Show was her first major role on television. Her first major film role came about in 2004, when she starred in the drama Lightning Bug, which she also was the executive producer for. In 2005 she took on a heavy role starring in the film Karla. In 2007 she was cast in the show October Road, which was cancelled in 2008. Prepon guest-starred in various shows from 2009 including How I Met Your Mother and Castle, and she got the leading role in the show Are You There Chelsea? in 2011, and the show was cancelled in 2012.
