Karen
Austin was born on October 24, 1954 in Welch, West Virginia.
After receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Mary Baldwin
College in Staunton, Virginia and a Masters of Art from Northwestern
University, Austin pursued acting and had some television success
before landing the role of Court Clerk Lana Wagner on Night
Court. Unfortunately, her success with the hit sitcom was
short-lived as she was replaced shortly after the first season.
Austin continues to work as an actress in supporting roles in
film and television, and has appeared on series including Without
a Trace, ER, Girlfriends, Star Trek: Voyager, The Division
and Desperate Housewives. |
