Murphy is the veteran star reporter of “F.Y.I.” Smart and deeply ethical, with a fantastic on-camera presence, she’s also opinionated, sarcastic, overbearing and driven (just ask any of her 93 secretaries). Her obstinacy and ambition often get her into hot water, but beneath her tough exterior Murphy is a complex and flawed person. She’s surprising vulnerable, a loyal friend -- and a recovering alcoholic.
