An inept North Korean pilot repeatedly attempts to bomb an ammo dump near the camp. His misses are more entertaining than threatening to everybody in the compound. Everybody except Frank and Hot Lips, of course.

Radar's Report

Klinger is targeted by Hot Lips and Frank to be examined by a psychiatrist and, finally, Hawkeye flirts with a nurse (played by Joan Van Ark).

For The Good Of The Outfit

Hawkeye and Trapper are disturbed by word that the Army mistakenly bombed the South Korean village of Tai Dong. Without admitting to the bombing, the Army agrees to rebuild the village and to throw in a soft-serve ice cream maker!

Dr. Pierce and Mr. Hyde

Hawkeye goes sleepless for three days straight due to surgery duty. In his delirious haze, he decides to investigate who started the war, and understandably decides that he must send the 4077th's latrine to N. Korea.

Trapper shows his paternal instinct when he meets an orphaned Korean boy named Kim. Trapper intends to adopt the little boy, assuming he survives the minefield.

L.I.P. (Local Indigenous Personnel)

Corporal Walker wants to take his Korean girlfriend and their child home with him. When he tries to marry the girl, the Army sends Lt. Willis to investigate. Hawkeye is offended by a nurse that hes dating who does not approve of the marriage between "one of them" and "one of us".

The Trial Of Henry Blake

In a fiendish double play, Houlihan and Burns officially dispute Col. Blake's fitness to command. They lock up Hawkeye and Trapper to prevent them from helping him.

Dear Dad....Three

Hawkeye recounts to his father the tale of a soldier hit by a grenade; the story of the time he and Trapper tinted the skin of a racist patient; and the poignant details of a home movie Henry received from home.

The Sniper

A sharp shooter has the 4077th in his sights including Radar and Henry in the shower. The misguided soldier thinks he's firing on McArthur's headquarters. When a chopper ends the siege by firing on the lone sniper, Hawkeye walks into the bush and tends to his wounds.

Carry On Hawkeye

Asian flu sweeps through the camp, leaving the unlikely team of Hawkeye and Margaret to do virtually everything. Then Margaret gets sick. Just about the time everyone else begins to recover, Hawkeye catches the bug.

The Incubator

Demonstrating the deviation in their desires for devices that conduct heat, Henry gets a barbecue, and Hawkeye requests an incubator. A colonel tries to sell him one, but things dont pan out.

Deal Me Out

Sidney Freedman arrives at camp and jumps into the ongoing poker game at The Swamp. Radar hits one of the locals with a jeep. As it turns out, the victim is known for jumping in front of vehicles and seeking a payoff. Meanwhile, someone sets out to kill Frank.

Hot Lips And Empty Arms

Margaret takes a good, hard look at her life and decides to leave Frank and the 4077. She then proceeds to get smashed at her going-away party. But nothing is more sobering than the wounded of war, that start to arrive.

Officers Only

After Hawkeye and Trapper successfully operate on a generals son, they are rewarded with a three-day binge in Tokyo and an officers club for the camp. Meanwhile, Klinger pretends to be pregnant.

Henry In Love

Episode: 040 | Aired: January 05, 1974

After a week in Tokyo, Henry returns to camp smitten by a 20-year old named Nancy Sue Parker. Young Miss Nancy makes a pass at Hawkeye while Henry is in surgery. After a phone call with his wife, Henry realizes he loves her and decides that what happens in Tokyo stays in Tokyo.

For Want Of A Boot

Episode: 041 | Aired: January 12, 1974

Hawkeye wants a new pair of boots, which he can only get from Zale, unraveling a complex matrix of favors and ultimately leaves Hawkeye bootless.

Operation Noselift

Episode: 042 | Aired: January 19, 1974

A private desperately wants plastic surgery for his rather prominent nose. Hawkeye convinces a plastic surgeon to perform the procedure by promising him a nurse nicknamed Barracuda. Hawkeye maneuvers to facilitate the operation for the AWOL private without Frank or Margaret finding out.

The Chosen People

A Korean family sets up its new home right in the middle of the compound. Meanwhile, a Korean woman with a newborn accuses Radar of being her baby daddy.

As You Were

Episode: 044 | Aired: February 02, 1974

Hawkeye and Trapper pack Frank into a crate while he sleeps. They receive gorilla suits through the mail. The camp falls under friendly fire and Radar frantically pleads for someone to stop the shelling.


Episode: 045 | Aired: February 09, 1974

When the supply lines to the camp are cut, Radar exercises his authority as the camps housing officer by doubling people up to save fuel. In their own desperate attempts to stay warm, everybody starts burning everything in sight.


Episode: 046 | Aired: February 16, 1974

A private tells Hawkeye: "Two guys got beaten up in my outfit. One colored, the other homosexual. As you can see, Doc, I'm not colored." Frank, who apparently is homophobic on top of everything else, tries to get the soldier dishonorably discharged for his confession.

Mail Call

Trapper becomes so depressed when a new batch of mail arrives that he seriously considers deserting. Meanwhile, Hawkeye dupes Frank into buying stocks in a fake company.

A Smattering Of Intelligence

Episode: 048 | Aired: March 02, 1974

Mysterious Col. Flagg starts snooping around the 4077th, which attracts another war spy to the camp. Upset by the Spy vs. Spy intrigue overtaking the compound, Hawkeye and Trapper decide to trick them both into believing Burns is a traitor.
