1 - Romantic Improvisations
Show premiere. Newlyweds Paul and Jamie Buchman are getting used to life together. Jamie feels their sex life has fizzled somewhat, so Paul plans a romantic evening with his wife. Things go wrong when each assumes the other has cancelled dinner plans with friends.

2 - Sofa's Choice
Looking to make their first major purchase together, Paul and Jamie go sofa shopping with married friends Fran and Mark Devanoe. The couple soon finds that a couch by any other name is not a couch, particularly for Paul who's not interested in anything called a "loveseat." And Paul learns some things are best left unsaid when Mark shares some surprising information with him.

3 - Sunday Times
Enjoying a quiet Sunday at home, Paul and Jamie try to decide what to do: take in a movie, see a parade, or go to a museum.

4 - Out of the Past
News of an ex-girlfriend's visit fills Paul with unexpected excitement followed by guilt and blithering idiocy when he invites Jamie along to meet her at Riffs.

5 - Paul in the Family
An unannounced visit from Jamie's parents, Gus and Theresa Stemple, has Jamie at her wits end, so she bribes sister Lisa with money and a cab ride to share in the experience.

6 - I’m Just So Happy for You
Conflicting career experiences are the focus when Paul laments his documentary on the Yankees being rejected by PBS, while Jamie celelbrates landing a major marketing account.

7 - Token Friend
Spotting a former fellow film school student working as a token agent, Paul suddenly becomes relutant to ride the subway.

8 - The Apartment
As Jamie and Paul plan their last will and testament together, the subject of Paul's old apartment is raised. He's currently subletting it to Cosmo Kramer, but Jamie wants him to give up. The couple argues and each is faced with reluctantly giving up something from their past as singles. Guest appearence from Michael Richards.

9 - Riding Backwards
On a Thanksgiving road trip to Connecticut, Paul and Jamie are fine, Mark and Fran are fighting, and Paul's friend Jay Selby and Lisa are on friendly terms. However, on the return trip home, everything changes.

10 - Neighbors from Hell
The Buchmans meet their neighbors across the hall, the Conways from England, and the meeting is anything but cordial. And each attempt to make things right between the couples only seems to add to the friction.

11 - Met Someone
When Jamie met Paul . . . Learn the circumstances of their chance encounter at a newstand, Paul's subsequent attempts to find her again afterwards, and the details of their first date.

12 - Maid About You
When they finally find a once-a-week housekeeper to come in for them, Jamie and Paul are ecstatic, that is until lovesick Masha is heartbroken when "Mr. Paul" doesn't return her affections.

13 - Togetherness
Jamie is producing a New York tourism spot and gets to pick the director. Naturally she chooses Paul, and the couple soon finds that there is such a thing as too much togetherness.

14 - Weekend Getaway
A weekend trip to the country is on tap to cure Jamie's blues. Maybe it works a little too well when she doesn't want to return to the city and starts dreaming about the simple life tilling the soil, growing apples, and running a Chinese restaurant.

15 - The Wedding Affair
Paul mistakenly reveals a secret. To alleviate his guilt he asks Jamie to share a secret with him and soon wishes he hadn't.

16 - Love Among the Tiles
It's Valentine's Day and Paul and Jamie are trapped in the bathroom. What to do? Well, for starters there's toe-nail painting, mutual facials, and a few other ways to pass the time.

17 - The Billionaire
Paul's been asked by an eccentric and energetic billionaire to make a film of his life. At the same time, he's hired a new cameraman/editor who hardly says a word. Jerry Lewis and Steven Wright guest star.

18 - The Man Who Said Hello
After an an encounter with Regis Philbin, Paul's father enjoys 15 minutes of fame. Paul's reaction to this garners him his own 15 minutes of infamy.

19 - Swept Away
Lisa and her new beau are head-over-heels and Jamie thinks they're moving too quickly with their relationship. When she learns they're planning to move in together after only knowing each other a week, she can't stop herself from taking action, even after Paul suggests she stay out of it.
