Jamie Stemple Buchman

The youngest, more sensible daughter of Gus and Theresa Stemple, Jamie Buchman is the proto-typical 90's woman juggling marriage, career, and--in time--motherhood. She's caretaker to whacky older sister Lisa, confidante and business partner to best friend Fran, and loving wife to her filmmaker husband Paul. While Jaime is long on ambition--she had two majors and 7 boyfriends while in college at Yale--she's still trying to balance her new life as Mrs. Buchman with her old life as Jamie Stemple. Fran helped her kick off her PR career when she hired Jamie as her assistant at Farrer-Gantz. Jamie worked her way up to regional Vice-President, before quitting due to creative difference with her boss. In typical go-go 90’s style, she's gone to grad school, run her own PR firm with Fran, and been campaign manger for mayoral candidate, Lance Brockwell. Her most recent challenge? Being mom to Mabel. Jamie’s full of spunk, ambition, and all the neuroses that come with trying to be the best wife, friend, sister, daughter and mother she can be, while still maintaining her sense of self. However, all isn’t perfect in her life, Jamie’s relationship with Lisa can be stressful, she is often confounded by her well-meaning parents, and her mother-in-law doesn’t make it easy for them to get along. And when she and Paul hit a bump in the marital road, she finds herself at a real crossroads, not sure of which way to go.
