20 - Lonesome Beaver
Beaver is crushed when he learns that Wally will now be attending
a meeting for the Boy Scouts once a week, while Beaver is too
young to join. He misses Wally but learns to cope with it by
sleeping in Wally's Scout sleeping bag and preparing for when
he turns eleven.
21 - Cleaning Up Beaver
Wally becomes a little more mature and begins to be a little
neater. Beaver insists that they can't hang out anymore if Wally
is going to be neat. Ward and June wish that Beaver would follow
in his brother's footsteps, but Beaver decides to stay a slob.
By the end of the show, the boys agree that Wally will be a
little more messy while Beaver will try and be a little neater.
22 - The Perfect Father
Ward becomes jealous when Mr. Dennison starts to act like more
of a father to Wally and Beaver than he can because of his busy
work schedule. Ward begins to overdo it by getting too involved
in their lives to the point where he realizes that the secret
to getting close to his boys is knowing when to stay away from
them.
23 - Beaver and Poncho
Beaver finds a little Chihuahua and brings it home to his family.
The Cleavers decide to keep the dog if nobody claims it. However,
Mr. Bennett claims the dog and Beaver has to learn to let go
of something he truly loves.
24 - The State vs. Beaver
Ward helps Beaver and Wally build a real racing car, but warns
the boys to ride it only on the sidewalk and not on the street.
Beaver doesn't listen and receives a ticket from a police officer
for driving without a license. Although Beaver doesn't get in
trouble at court, he does have to tell his parents what happened.
25 - The Broken Window
Eddie accidentally knocks a baseball through the Cleaver's window
and Ward forbids anyone to play ball near the house. The boys
disobey Ward's instructions and the next day Beaver breaks the
window of Ward's car with a baseball.
26 - Train Trip
The boys convince their Aunt Martha to let them buy their own
tickets home, but they are in trouble when they realize they
only have enough money to buy one ticket. They can't ask their
Aunt Martha for a loan because she has already left them at
the station.
27 - My Brother's Girl
Wally's school is holding an eighth grade dance, but Wally doesn't
want to go with a date because he hates girls. Wally wants to
go with Eddie, but Mary Ellen Rogers wants to go with Wally
and she will do whatever it takes to get him to go with her.
28 - Next Door Indians
Beaver really wants to be accepted by the older kids in the
neighborhood, so he makes up a story about an Indian battle
that occurred 100 years ago right around his house. In order
to get the kids to believe him, Beaver buries fake "Indian"
artifacts around his house.
29 - Tenting Tonight
Ward promises to take the boys camping one weekend, but when
he is called into the office and can't make the trip, the boys
decide to go without him. They camp out in their backyard. However,
trouble comes when a big thunderstorm hits the area, including
their campsite.
30 - Music Lesson
In order to impress his parents, Beaver signs up for clarinet
lessons with the school band. The problem is, he isn't good
enough to remain in the school band and his teacher lets him
go. Problems arise when Beaver is supposed to perform in a school
concert but is afraid to tell his parents that he wasn't good
enough to stay in the band.
31 - New Doctor
Wally becomes very sick and receives special attention from
everyone including his parents, friends, teachers, and doctors.
Beaver gets jealous and pretends that he is sick also, but he
is surprised when he sees how differently he is treated from
Wally, who is really ill.
32 - Beaver's Old Friend
Beaver finds his old teddy bear Billy in the garage one day
when he, Wally, and Ward are cleaning it out.. After Wally teases
him, Beaver reluctantly throws Billy in the garbage. When he
returns later to retrieve Billy, he realizes that the bear is
gone and he must go to drastic measures to get him back.
33 - Wally's Job
Ward offers Wally $1.00 to paint the garbage cans, but Wally
becomes dissatisfied and puts off doing the job. Beaver then
becomes eager to do it, but gets more paint on himself than
he does the garbage cans. This causes an argument between Wally
and Beaver, and Ward has to get involved.
34 - Beaver's Bad Day
Beaver goes out to play wearing his new gray flannel suit, but
rips it on a nail while getting off a see-saw.
35 - Boarding School
After Wally's friend Johnny Franklin comes to visit and tells
lots of about the military school he attends, Ward and Wally
decide it would be a good idea for Wally to apply to the school
also. However, Wally gets cold feet when he thinks that his
parents are trying to get rid of him by sending him so far away.
36 - Beaver and Henry
When Ward and the boys set a trap to catch a gopher, they catch
a white rabbit instead. Beaver names the rabbit Henry, but has
to change the name to Henrietta when June realizes that he is
actually a she who is going to have babies. However, Beaver
upsets the mother rabbit by touching a baby and when she avoid
the baby Beaver doesn't understand why.
37 - Cat Out Of The Bag
Wally and Beaver are left in charge of Puff Puff who is the
next door neighbors cat. They accidentally lose him, and when
they finally find him he is stuck way up in a tree and they
can't get him down.
38 - Beaver Runs Away
After Ward scolds Beaver for using his tools after he has been
warned not to, Beaver packs his things and decides to run away.
Before leaving, he tells his father his plans to run away, but
when his father wishes him well, Beaver realizes that he doesn't
really want to be out on the streets. However, he goes anyway
to prove a point.
39 - Beaver's Guest
Beaver has his friend Larry Mondello stay with him for the weekend.
However, after only a few hours of being there, Larry wants
desperately to go home because he accuses Beaver of punching
him in the stomach. Larry's stomach does hurt, but the truth
is that it is because Larry ate too many candy bars before he
came over and now he feels sick. |
