Wally baby-sits Beaver one night while Ward and June go out. While Wally is making hamburgers he sends Beaver to go take a bath. Wally calls Beaver to come down and eat, but Beaver forgets to turn the water off and floods the bathroom.

Beaver is suspended from riding the bus because he gets into a fist fight. He writes a letter of apology to the bus driver and is eventually allowed back on the bus.

Beaver is grounded for leaving the cap off the ink bottle because when Ward picks it up he spills it all over his hand. Beaver sneaks out to see a double feature movie where the owner is giving out prizes. Beaver wins the grand prize -- a bike -- but cannot bring it home because then his parents will know he sneaked out while grounded.

For a class project, Beaver has to bring in a picture of himself as a baby. His mother chooses a picture of Beaver lying naked on a bear skin rug, and Beaver is mortified. In order to not be embarrassed in front of his class, Beaver cuts the picture up and only hands in the part with his head.

Beaver brags to his friends that he can walk 20 miles after hearing his father say that he could as a child. Whitey bets him and Beaver puts up his new baseball glove. Beaver only walked 3 miles, and the next morning gave his glove to Whitey. Beaver is embarrassed when Ward asks him to have a baseball catch with his new glove and subsequently locks himself in the bathroom.

Larry and Beaver go and have a picnic up at Friends Lake. While there, two older boys offer to lend them a boat, neglecting to tell them that the boat is a stolen one. A police car arrives shortly after and accuses Beaver and Larry of stealing the boat and the boys have to find a way of not getting arrested.

Beaver explains to his teacher how he planted a tree when he lived in his old house, and now that he has moved and is bigger, he realizes he misses his tree. He and Larry decide to go back to Beaver's old house and dig up the tree and bring it back to his new house.

Beaver thinks that Miss Landers is a wonderful teacher and invites her over for dinner one night. Larry and a few others spy on the teacher eating, and Beaver becomes embarrassed when they are spotted. However, it works out in the end because all of the little spies are invited to stay for dessert and all are forgiven.

After a penny fortune predicts 'Today is your lucky day', Beaver ends up with a scheduled fight with fifth grade bully, Sonny Courtwright. Beaver is filled with confidence due to his fortune, until Wally points out that you can't count on luck to win a fight. While Ward and June ask Wally to try and prevent the fight, Beaver comes back stating that Sonny never showed.

Ward lends Beaver money and expects change in return. Larry, however, manages to get Beaver to give him the rest of the change and spend it in the store. In order to teach Beaver a lesson, Ward refuses to give him any movie money for the week.

Beaver plays a trick on Benjie where he convinces Benjie that he can turn himself into a rock. Benjie really believes this trick, and won't believe that Beaver is okay unless he can make sure that Beaver is turned back into a boy. The problem is that nobody can find Beaver, because he has gone to his Aunt Martha's house.

Beaver goes to the store and buys his mother the most atrocious print blouse anyone has ever seen, but Beaver and Larry think it is beautiful. June is trapped when Beaver asks her to wear it to the Mothers Club tea the following day.

Beaver and Wally are building cages for animals in their garage when they realize that they got a nail stuck in one of Ward's tires. They are able to fix it on their own, but Eddie ruins it when he asks Ward how the tire is holding up.

Larry gets in trouble at home for reading his sister's diary, so he decides to run away to Beaver's house. Beaver is able to convince his parents that Larry is not staying in their house, even though Larry is living in their bathtub.

Everyone at school has to report what pet they will be bringing to the school pet fair. Beaver is depressed that he is the only kid who doesn't bring in a pet that day, so he tells everyone he is going to bring in his parrot. The problem is that when he goes to the pet store to buy the parrot, he realizes that it costs $200!

Eddie and Wally have a big test coming up, and so Wally studies while Eddie cheats. Wally does really well and Eddie flunks. In order to get Wally back for doing well, Eddie says that it was Wally who cheated.

Beaver borrows Ward's library card so he can take out 'Treasure Island' for a book report. The problem is that Beaver loses the book and can't return it. He manages to hide the overdue notices that he has collected over the past 20 days, but then gets scared that he might get arrested so he tells his father all about it.

When Wally is first nominated for the position of class president; he wants nothing to do with it. However, Ward gets him so excited about it that Wally turns into a cocky politician and winds up losing the election.

Larry gets really jealous when he is told that he is not allowed to join, so he starts his own club called 'the Fiends'. Beaver then disowns the Bloody Five and joins the Fiends, only to find out that he and Larry are the only ones in the group.

Wally draws Alma's name for an upcoming school picnic. After Alma's mother meets Wally, she decides that he is good enough for her daughter and sets up a lot of dates between the two. Wally doesn't really want to go but at the same time he doesn't want to be mean to her.

Beaver gets permission to ride his bike to school. On the first day, Beaver lets a young stranger borrow it but the stranger never returns with it. Beaver gets in trouble when he gets home for being careless. A few days later the bike is recovered, but it is in terrible condition.

Wally takes a rich girl out on a date, but when he sees her he has to give her an orchid. The flower is too expensive for Wally, but Beaver finds a way to get one for him. Wally keeps it in the refrigerator, but it dies anyway and now he has to figure out another plan.

Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Lefty Grove and Bill Dickey have all autographed Ward's baseball. One day Beaver and Larry decide to have a catch with it, but it accidentally gets run over by a truck. The boys get a new ball and try to forge the signatures.

Beaver's parents say that any pet he takes in has to be tame, not wild. So Beaver cannot understand why his parents won't let him keep Stanley, a monkey that was raised in captivity.

Beaver finds a wallet with $89 in it. After bringing the wallet to the police station he finds out that if the wallet is not claimed in ten days it was his to keep. Beaver made daily calls to the station, as well as making up a long wish list of things he'd like to buy. On the tenth day Beaver meets a Miss Tomkins, the owner of the wallet. She promises Beaver a reward and after nearly a week a clock radio is delivered in the mail. June realizes it was Ward who sent the radio. He wanted Beaver to realize that returning the wallet was the right thing to do.

In honor of Mother's Day, Beaver is assigned to write an essay about his mother's life for a school paper. He finds that her life was boring, so he makes up an extravagant story about her and hands it in. The teacher knows that it's not true and confronts both Beaver and June about it.

Fred Rutherford organizes a joint family picnic outing with the Cleavers and this bothers Beaver because little Violet Rutherford won't stop flirting with him. It starts with her sitting on his lap the whole car ride.

Wally and Eddie are going to a Saturday night party. Wally discovers that his suit smells like fish. Beaver has hung his jacket with minnows in the pockets next to the suit in the closet. Later in the day the suit is returned deodorized. Beaver and Richard accidentally spill glove oil on the suit and than try cleaning it with bleach leaving a big white spot. They try to correct their mishap by painting the white spot.

After sending his picture into a magazine advertised model agency, Beaver receives a letter stating that he has been selected as a top prospect in the modeling field, and is invited to have his picture placed in a model's directory. It isn't long before Beaver receives another letter from the agency, now requesting payment of $30, their fee.

Wally gets a job selling 'Igloo Bars' after school. Ward advances him $27 to take care of a deposit on a three-wheel bicycle, and the purchase of dry ice which Wally promises to pay back at $5 per week. Wally imprudently gives credit to friends and customers, and when the end of the week draws near, he finds himself $3.75 short.

Beaver reads 'Ivanhoe' one of Ward's favorite childhood stories. It gives Beaver new ideas about knighthood and chivalry, and especially about helping ladies in distress. One day Beaver gets into a fight at the bus stop trying to help a young girl he think is in trouble.

Wally has joined a male club at school and learns that they are putting on a play and he's disappointed when he learns that the part he's to play is that of a chorus girl. Later, Beaver and Gilbert make matters worse when they discover that Wally's costume is a dress.

Wally is coaching Beaver's football team, and he gives them a strategic play to use called 'Old 98'. However, Beaver tells Penny who accidentally tells the other team this mysterious play, and the other team beats Beaver's because they learned how to defend 'Old 98.'
