Before becoming one of TV's most recognizable moms, Barbara Billingsley appeared in a number of feature films as well as the 1955 TV series Professional Father. After Leave It to Beaver, Billingsley opted to concentrate on raising her two sons and traveling with her husband. A 1980s resurgence in Beaver's popularity brought Billingsley back to acting with parts in Airplane!, Still the Beaver and Back to the Beach. Since then, she's made guest appearances on Murphy Brown, Roseanne and many tributes to TV moms. In 1997, Billingsley played Aunt Martha in the feature update of Leave It to Beaver.

Character Bio

Born June Evelyn Bronson, Wally and Beaver's mom met Ward Cleaver when she moved to Mayfield as a teenager. She attended State College, and after completing her education, married Ward and began living the ideal '50s domestic lifestyle. June often worries about Wally and the Beaver, but she never fails to handle lifes challenges with a smile.
