Doug Heffernan

Kevin James is not just the King of Queens, he's also a king of comedy. His career began on the comedy circuit, which he participated in for 11 years. He then worked his way on to Star Search, Tonight Show with Jay Leno and got his big break with an appearance in the 1996 Just for Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival. / Famous TV credits include Cosby, Becker, and Everybody Loves Raymond. In all three series he appeared as the same character, Doug Heffernan. He also wrote for one episode of Ray Romano's hit show. Much of Doug's backstory mirrors James' personal life. He, too, played football and fell out of it, loves playing golf and watching the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He and Gary Valentine (Danny on King of Queens) are also brothers. Kevin James exercised his industry chops with his multi-faceted involvement in the series. He was executive producer for much of the shows run, creative consultant, writer and part of the sound track for 8 episodes. For Doug, he has consistently worked both behind-the-scenes and in front of the camera throughout his career. His movie credits include Zookeeper (2011), Hitch (2005), Paul Blart: Mall Cop, and I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry (2007). He also produced and/or wrote for most of these projects.

Doug and Carrie go to visit Doug's parents at the airport while they are waiting for their flight. Doug's parents give Doug a living will to sign, but Doug is upset that they marked "do not resuscitate" on everything.

Carrie starts to worry that she might be pregnant and it couldn't happen at a worse time. When Arthur finds out he tries to convince her to tell Doug and when she won't, he brings Doug to her.
