Just Shoot Me

Maya Gallo is an outspoken but desperate writer in need of a job. She reluctantly agrees to work for the fashion magazine run by her father, with whom she has a rocky relationship and who, she learns, is about to have another daughter with his young wife.

Maya starts her new job with the intention of including more serious stories, only to be distracted by Jack's lavishing her with gifts and a coveted office. Nina marshals Elliott and Finch to confront Jack about hiring his daughter.

Finch refuses to be recognized on Secretarys Day, proudly asserting he is not a secretary. Soon, his misadventure with a gorilla at the zoo makes him a celebrity. Maya tries to dissuade Nina from getting breast implants.

In order to create a truce between Maya and Nina, Jack asks his daughter to plan Nina's birthday party. Finch bets Elliott that if he weren't a photographer, Elliott would not get a date.

When Maya has Elliott shoot a new picture for her ID, she has an erotic dream about him. Finch writes a new, and self-serving, office policy.

When Jack brings back candy from China, it turns out to be a hallucinogenic drug. The effects of the candy cause trouble for Maya, who is helming the magazine on her own for the first time. At a bar, Nina unwittingly picks up a guy who turns out to be a pickpocket.
