Yeardley was born on July 3, 1964 in Paris, France. Her family moved to Washington, D.C. where Yeardley was raised. She began acting when she was a child, and after graduating high school, she had an apprenticeship at the Arena Stage, a theater in Washington, D.C. Yeardley stayed with the show and has been the voice of "Lisa Simpson" for over two decades. In 1992, she won a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance. In addition to The Simpsons, Yeardley has had roles in numerous films and television shows, such as City Slickers, Jingle All the Way, New Year's Eve, Sesame Street, Dharma & Greg, Herman's Head, and Mad Men to name a few.
