Carter Oosterhouse

TV Land is excited to announce that Carter Oosterhouse guest stars on Hot in Cleveland.

Oosterhouse was born on September 19, 1976 in Traverse City, Michigan. He began learning carpentry as a kid and would often help renovate or build homes to earn money during the summer. He graduated from Central Michigan University with a B.A. in nutrition and communication. He attended college on a rugby scholarship and still enjoys a variety of sports, including basketball, hockey and sailing.

He rose to fame as the hunky carpenter on TLC's popular reality show Trading Spaces. After four years on the show, he transitioned to HGTV and has hosted several programs, including Million Dollar Rooms, Celebrity Motor Homes, Carter Can and Red Hot and Green. Oosterhouse is a regular contributor to The Rachael Ray Show, and has appeared on The Today Show, CNN, MSNBC, The View, The Doctors, Entertainment Tonight and Extra, among others.

Aside from his on-screen career, he's a philanthropist who participates in many different organizations and causes. He is an environmental advocate, supporting many green-building initiatives. He also has his own foundation, Carter's Kids, which aims to promote fitness and increase self-esteem among children.

Oosterhouse lives in California with wife Amy Smart.
