Taran Noah Smith

Taran Noah Smith was born April 8, 1984 in San Francisco. Smith most notably played Marcus 'Mark' Jason Taylor on Home Improvement, and also appeared on two of the four seasons of the popular Nickelodeon game show, Figure It Out. On April 27, 2001, Shortly after his 17th birthday, Smith married Heidi Van Pelt, who was 16 years his senior. Together they started a vegan organic restaurant called playfood in Studio City, Calif., where he was the vegan caterer. The couple has since divorced; they have one son.
