Gomer Pyle
Gomer Pyle is Mayberry's naive, thickheaded gas station attendant. He gets into countless scrapes with Deputy Barney and can be a bit of an annoyance to the even-tempered Andy. When Gomer decides to join "The few, the proud, the Marines," his even dimmer cousin, Goober, takes over at Wally's Gas Station.
