Howard Morris
He only appeared in a handful of episodes as mountain man Ernest T. Bass, but Howard Morris is unforgettable. Morris began his career as a stage actor in the 1940's, moving to television as an ensemble player on the legendary Your Show of Shows. He began doing voices for cartoons on Gerald McBoing-Boing in 1951, and went on to be one of the most recognizable voices in animation. He has leant his vocal talents to such shows as: The Jetsons, The Archie Show, Atom Ant, Garfield and Friends and Cow and Chicken. Morris has also appeared in more than a dozen feature films, including Splash, Life Stink s and High Anxiety.
In addition to his acting talents, Morris has also garnered experience behind the camera. He directed eight episodes of The Andy Griffith Show, as well as Get Smart and the Jackie Gleason classic Don't Drink the Wate r. Morris also garnered accolades as a director of television commercials including ones for Kellogg's, McDonald's and Kmart.
