Jennifer Aniston was born in Los Angeles to actor parents John Aniston and Nancy Dow (who once guest starred on The Beverly Hillbillies), Aniston spent a year in Greece as a child before moving to New York City, where she attended the Fiorello H. Laguardia High School for the Performing Arts. After graduating, Aniston supported herself with a number of odd jobs while performing in off-Broadway productions before moving back to Los Angeles, landing roles on TV series including Molloy and a television adaptation of Ferris Buellers Day Off.
Aniston, like the other Friends, came to fame when she was cast as the naive Rachel Green on NBCs ten-season blockbuster. During the show, Aniston also starred in a slew of hit movies including Bruce Almighty, The Good Girl, and Rock Star, and lending her voice to the main character in The Iron Giant, as well as the choir teacher on South Park. Perhaps most memorably, Aniston played the sweet, flaired-out Joanna (also her middle name!) in the seminal comedy Office Space.
After Friends, Aniston went on to enjoy a busy and fun film career, including hits like Marley and Me, starring with Owen Wilson; The Break-Up, opposite Vince Vaughn; Hes Just Not That Into You; Just Go With It, and the hilarious Horrible Bosses, for which she won an MTV Movie Award. She also guested on 30 Rock and on fellow Friends alum Courteney Coxs projects, Dirt and Cougar Town.
Aniston has an Emmy, a Golden Globe and a SAG Award under her belt for her work on Friends, along with about ten thousand Peoples Choice Awards, five Teen Choice Awards and a GLAAD Award. She was nominated for TVLand Award five times.
Most recently, Aniston guest starred on the hilarious Bachelor sendup, Burning Love, and has a number of features in the works.
Of course, you can enjoy Rachel Greens antics on Friends on TVLand Wednesdays at 9PM/8C.
