Cheryl Hines was born September 21, 1965 in Miami Beach, Florida. She grew up in Tallahassee and was a member of theatre club throughout high school. She graduated from the University of Central Florida, and soon after, she moved to Los Angeles. Her career as a comedienne and actress began at the famous Groundlings Theatre, where she studied comedy with Lisa Kudrow. Her lessons in sketch writing and improvisation would later help during her work on Curb Your Enthusiasm, which earned her two Emmy and SAG award nominations.
Hines has also enjoyed success on the big screen. She's appeared in Along Came Polly, Cake, Herbie Fully Loaded, RV, Waitress, The Grand, Henry Poole Is Here and The Ugly Truth. In addition to her work in front of the camera, she directed the 2009 film Serious Moonlight, which starred Meg Ryan.
More recently, she stars as Dallas Royce in ABC's sitcom Suburgatory. She also appears in the film Pasadena, released in Spring 2013.
Hines currently lives in California with her daughter, Catherine.
Hines plays Cheryl David, the wife of Larry David. Cheryl often finds Larry's antics annoying and struggles to deal with his many issues. She serves as his voice of reason and guides him through various social predicaments.
