Sam returns to Cheers after a stab at sailing around the world
and decides he wants to buy Cheers back. He meets the alluring
and headstrong new manager, Rebecca Howe.

Sam is asked by a sportscaster friend to substitute for him
while he's away on vacation.

Eddie decides to marry Carla. But when his mother meets Carla,
she hates her on sight and forces Eddie to call off the wedding.

When Eddie calls off the wedding, Sam pulls out all the stops

The Cheers regulars play a trick on Frasier by convincing

Norm works off his bar tab by painting Rebecca’s office and
part of her home. Sam tags along with Norm and tries to put
the moves on Rebecca.
# 128 - "The Last Angry Mailman"
When Frasier discovers that Rebecca had a reputation for being
a party girl in college, he passes the news along to the others.
Meanwhile, Cliff handcuffs himself to his childhood home which
is slated to be torn down to build a shopping center.

Frasier wants Lilith to sign a prenuptual agreement. Out of
anger, she bids $2,000 at a Cheers bachelor auction for a
date with Sam.

Woody lands an understudy role in a local play and shows up
at Cheers each night dressed in character as Mark Twain. A
recently widowed woman develops a crush on his persona.

# 131 - "A Kiss is Still a Kiss"
Evan Drake, the boss upon whom Rebecca has a searing crush,
invites her to a party and Rebecca brings Sam along. Sam proceeds
to toy with her and her passion for Evan.

# 132 - "My Fair Clavin"
Cliff's social life improves dramatically after he buys a
condo in a singles complex and begins dating a plain-looking
woman of whom he is a bit ashamed. However, when she makes
herself over and garners attention from other men, Cliff wants
his plain girlfriend back. Meanwhile, in an attempt to kick
the habit, Rebecca promises Sam that she'll go to bed with
him if he catches her smoking.

Everyone is mad at Rebecca after she schedules them to work

Rebecca organizes a cocktail party for the chairman of the
board of the company that owns Cheers. She breaks a vase at
the party and Woody and Sam take turns taking the blame. Meanwhile,
Cliff sells shoes to the regulars at Cheers.

# 136 - "A Tale of Two Cuties"
Carla gives birth to twins. Rebecca turns violent when she
thinks the relief waitress is having an affair with Evan Drake.
Annie and Anthony Tortelli come to Sam for career advice.

# 137 - "Yacht of Fools"
Evan Drake invites Sam to go sailing on his yacht for the
weekend. Instead of bringing Rebecca, Sam brings another woman.

# 138 - "To All the Girls I've Loved Before"
The guys at Cheers throw a bachelor party for Frasier and

# 139 - "Let Sleep Drakes Lie"
While Evan Drake is away in Europe, Norm is given the job
of painting the inside of his house. Rebecca comes to look
at Evan’s bedroom and must hide when he returns unexpectedly.
Meanwhile, Sam goes on a date with one of Frasier’s patients.

# 140 - "Airport V"
Carla's husband, ex-hockey star Eddie, has found a job as
a penguin in a a traveling ice skating show. Frasier enrolls
Carla in a workshop to overcome her fear of flying. Cheers
is critiqued by a local personality notorious for giving bad
reviews. He takes Rebecca to dinner, gives Cheers a good review
and everyone assumes that she slept with him.

# 141 - "The Sam in the Grey Flannel Suit"
Evan Drake hires Sam to work in the corporate office, but

# 142 - "Our Hourly Bread"
When Woody and Sam ask for raises, Rebecca tells them that
raises are out of the question because the bar is losing money.
They come up with the idea of holding a raffle, which does
bring a lot of new customers. Meanwhile, Frasier buys Lilith
an abstract painting for their one-month anniversary.

Carla falls into a deep depression when Anthony and Annie
announce that she's going to be a grandmother. In an attempt
to cheer her up and get her back to work, Rebecca decides

When the Cheers regulars tease Woody about wanting to date

does.

Rebecca is devastated to learn that Evan Drake is transferring
to Japan. Rebecca poses as his chauffeur in a last ditch effort
to let him know she loves him.
