Candy witnesses a robbery and shoots the robber James Campbell in self defense. Campbells death leaves his widow Lisa and their young son to run the farm alone. After her husbands death, Lisa asks her brother in law Jake to kill Candy. Not knowing Lisas plans, Candy feels guilty and offers to help out on the farm. Lisa and Candy fall in love however, Jake wont change his plan to kill Candy.
