The
middle Cartwright brother, Hoss is a big, loveable galoot. Much larger
than his more handsome brothers, Hoss is also gullible and a little
simple. Hoss is easily made into the butt of many jokes by his brothers
as he is easily manipulated by the smarter Adam and the slicker Little
Joe. In the end, Hossıs heart is so big, he sees the humor in most
situations. Slow to anger, Hoss is strong and not to be trifled with.
He will defend his family at all costs, and is also ready to help
strangers that need his care. His naiveté gets him into trouble
with those who would take advantage of the sometimes dim-seeming Hoss,
though in the end, his ways often sway his tormenters to a kinder
and gentler way of thinking. |
