A trip to the supermarket intensifies Archie's feelings of frustration
over his unemployment but, after a job interview later that day,
he realizes he is better off than many.

Archie fears for his life before an operation, and things go from
bad to worse when he comes face-to-face with his doctor. The experience
isn't easy for Edith, either, especially when Archie begins listing
his final wishes.

A hospitalized Archie is outraged after receiving what he considers
to be questionable medical care, but that's nothing compared to
what happens when he sees the bill.
Episode #142 - Beverly Rides Again
At long last, Archie sees a way of getting even with a practical
joker pal by arranging a date for him with the "perfect girl," Beverly
LaSalle - a professional female impersonator.
Episode #143 - Teresa Moves In
Edith has convinced Archie to rent out Gloria's old room to make
some extra money, but the plan seems destined for failure when Archie
meets the prospective tenant.
Episode #144 - Mike And Gloria's Will
Archie and Edith are shocked when they learn that Mike and Gloria
have decided to leave Baby Joey with friends in the event of their
deaths.
Episode #145 - Mr. Edith Bunker
Edith uses quick thinking and CPR training to save a man's life,
but has her hands full when Archie tries to adjust to her newfound
fame.
Episode #146 - Archie's Secret Passion
Archie panics when Edith invites Delores, an old schoolmate, to
dinner, fearing Edith will find out too much about his past.
Episode #147 - The Baby Contest
Over Mike and Gloria's heated objections, Archie enters Joey in
a beautiful-baby contest and then takes steps to make sure he will
win.
Episode #148 - Gloria's False Alarm
Gloria's surprise announcement that she might be pregnant again
leads to drastic action by an uncertain Mike when Gloria charges
him with the responsibility of making sure it doesn't happen again.
Episode #149 - The Draft Dodger
Christmas dinner at the Bunkers finds Archie playing host to a draft
dodger and a father whose son was killed in the war. Archie's convictions
put a strain on the holiday spirit until an exchange between the
Gold Star father and the draft dodger leaves him stunned and speechless.
Episode #150 - The Boarder Patrol
The Bunker's unexpected return from a weekend trip puts Edith in
a precarious situation when she discovers that Teresa has her boyfriend
in her bedroom. Edith and the embarrassed Teresa agree that the
only course of action is to try to sneak out the visitor before
Archie finds out.
Episode #151 - Archie's Chair
Archie suffers through a trauma and outrage at the disappearance
of a very close friend - his chair.
Episode #152 - Mike Goes Skiing
Mike craftily gets out of taking Gloria to a party so he can go
skiing with the boys, and then is disappointed to find she does
very well without him.
Episode #153 - Stretch Cunningham, Good-Bye
Archie is touched twice by tragedy - - the first is the news of
Stretch Cunningham's death, and the second is that he has been chosen
to deliver Stretch's eulogy. Archie's fear of speaking in front
of a group turns to panic when he finds out just what sort of group
it is.
Episode #154 - The Joys Of Sex
Gloria's discovery about Edith lead her to convince Mike to give
Archie a lecture on the facts of life.
Episode #155 - Mike, The Pacifist
When an already crowded subway is invaded by an obnoxious drunk,
Mike takes leave of his senses and violates on of his strongest
principles, much to the delight of Archie.
Episode #156 - Fire
The Bunker home is ravaged by fire - then by Archie - in an effort
to collect more insurance money.
Episode #157 - Mike And Gloria Split
A late-night argument between Mike and Gloria results in a couple
of strange bedfellows.
Episode #158 - Archie, The Liberal
Archie's "token" efforts to liberalize his lodge backfire.
Episode #159 - Archie's Dog Day Afternoon
Archie starts another battle when he goes one-on-one with a neighborhood
