Michael Stivic
College student Michael Stivic lives between a rock and a hard place. His education is the key to his future, yet he and his wife can't afford a place of their own. Mike's the political opposite of his father-in-law Archie, and sparks almost always fly when the sociology student and senior Bunker are in the same room. Archie dismisses him as a "meathead." Despite the fact that Archie's shortsightedness can be intolerable at times, Michael cares for Archie and is eternally grateful to him for the home he provides.
