Gloria Bunker-Stivic
Gloria is a new breed of woman: She's not quite a full-blown feminist, but she isn't an old-fashioned housewife, either. Gloria tries to be strong, but she's often a little more vulnerable than she cares to admit. She's a working woman who's opted to help support her husband Michael through college, knowing that it's what's best for their future. Like Michael, Gloria is politically aware -- and leans to the left of the political spectrum. Yet at the same time, she's Archie's "little girl." Because Gloria and Michael live under Archie's roof, it's Gloria's responsibility to act as a mediator between right-wing Archie and her liberal husband.
