As the high commander and head of the expedition, Dick Solomon is in charge of the other members of the crew. He and his crew were sent to Earth to study the planet and its residents. Despite his title, Dick is the most immature as he's the youngest crewmember. He works as a physics professor at Pendelton State University, where he develops a complex relationship with colleague Dr. Mary Albright.
