When it was unveiled

On Aug. 19, 2008, the city of Milwaukee dedicated a life-sized bronze statue of Fonzie, the iconic Happy Days bad boy portrayed by Winkler. Winkler returned to Milwaukee for the ceremonies and brought his friends and co-stars, including Marion Ross, Tom Bosley, Erin Moran, Don and Anson Williams. Stars of the Happy Days spin-off Laverne & Shirley, Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams, attended as well -- along with the show’s creator Marshall and producer Bob Boyett.

Why you should visit

Because then you'll be cool? Besides, the park is home to a variety of events, including summer concerts, a spring RiverSplash festival and a fall crew race – but it's tiny (0.77 hectares) in size. This is where President Clinton and German Chancellor Helmut Kohl spoke in 1996 during a visit to the area.

The Milwaukee County Historical Society is just at its western edge, and you can rent a boat here during the summer season. PS: There's also free Wi-Fi in the park.
