Although Debra has been aware that her parents have been having problems, she is devastated to learn that they are planning to separate after 40 years of marriage. Debra, who had always looked to her parents as a perfect example of a solid marriage, now worries that if this can happen to them, how strong is her own marriage? Meanwhile, when Marie hears the news, shes sympathetic, but also envious of Lois new freedom. (20:30)
Frank offers to paint Ray and Debras house, but refuses to paint it the color they have chosen. Franks need to be the boss of every situation becomes too much for Ray to bear. So, he takes matters into his own hands and relieves Frank of his duties as house painter. Marie then reveals some information about Franks past that convinces Ray to reconcile with his dad and to allow him to finish the project. (20:30)

Ray and Debra are more than a little concerned when they realize that the constant bickering and screaming that goes on between them and Rays parents are having an effect on young Michael. In an effort to make things better, the whole family meets with the schools counselor and a local clergyman to uncover what -- and who -- is to blame. (20:30)
When Ray realizes that Debra and Marie have been in cahoots in a scheme to drive Robert back into Amys arms, he urges them to mind their own business. Debra and Maries good intentions backfire badly when they find that Amy and Gianni are actually hitting it off. (20:30)
Its the first Thanksgiving since Debras parents have been divorced, and Debra is thrilled that both her parents have agreed to have dinner with the Barones. However, she soon learns that Warren is bringing a date. Everyone is horrified -- except Debras mother, who thinks its just great. (20:30)
Raymond is horrified when he thinks his "cookie nemesis" flirted with him. When Debra is too sick to take Ally to a sleepover, Ray reluctantly agrees to take her despite the fact he must come face to face with Peggy, the mom who physically assaulted him during the last cookie drive. Surprisingly, Ray winds up mending fences with her when he helps Peggy pitch a tent in her living room for the girls. However, their newfound friendship is short-lived after Peggy pats Ray on the behind as a way of saying thanks. (21:00)
